It is a lot faster and easier than the old scrapbook version. I have seen how others have agonized over the 3-ring binder method. I always thought that portfolios were the dreaded "P" word and procrastinated on making one. Now I am glad I did procrastinate, I have a better and faster way to run my portfolio. Hyperlinking is great tool to have to make the portfolio. Something like that shouldn't be that easy to do. It was also nice to have a large chunk of time to just work on it.

The more I time I spend on putting together the portfolio, the better I like the process. The linking feature is great, as well as the ability to include scanned and photographed items. I really like the idea of including pictures of students and their work and their work-in-progress. The process of adding new, updated materials flows rather smoothly, once I got the process figured out.

Thanks for all of your help with the technology. I am rather slow and I am sure that it seems to others like I must be rather dumb.

I think the most important thing is to have the framework in place. That includes making sure that all the links are correct and working. Even though the template links appear to be hyperlinked, they have to be linked to items in your folder to work.

I spent much of the day customizing the templates for my field and making sure the links work as I want. Now I can focus on plugging in my Data Points and Reflections during the school year.

I have a good start on my portfolio. I am excited to spend time in my office finishing it up. I think it will be easier on my own computer where I have things stored.

Thank you so much for all of your help these 2 days!!! I thought this class would be painful -- but I ended up really enjoying it!!! I appreciated the helpful attitude that all students in the class had towards each other -- in addition to our excellent instuctor!!!

Thanks to all!!

I have just begun to organize my portfolio and have realized how simple it can be when done electronically. This class has opened my eyes to what I can do on the computer. At first I was overwhelmed and lost...now I am understanding what I do and am only lost for brief moments in time. I am looking forward to continuing the eportfolio when I get back to school in August. Thanks so much for all the knowledge ~ you are AWESOME!!!
